Fun (and Educational) Programs for all ages

I tell stories for anybody who likes to hear a story.
(Which means that the under-three crowd doesn't really have the attention span for what I do.)

Silly Stories for any Season

(Pre-K to Grade 2 and Family)

Silly Stories (and songs) for a Sunny Day, a Rainy Day, or a Chilly Day.... You pick.

These are fun stories, plain and simple, culled from a variety of cultural sources including American, African, Jewish, Japanese stories. Plus a selection of Mark's fabulous original tales. This program is tailored for your audience -- it doesn't matter how old or young they are they'll enjoy themselves.

Tall Tales

(Grades 3 and up)

Mark Binder loves to tell Tall Tales and Whoppers. He presents a thrilling collection of stories from traditional sources (like "Paul Bunyan Meets Babe the Blue O") as well as unique originals (like "It Ate My Sister").

Guaranteed to make children, parents, teachers and librarians laugh and smile. These are stories that the older crowd will certainly enjoy.

Folktales from around the world

(All Grades and up)

Mark's background in mythology from Columbia University gives him the unique ability to present a huge variety of folktales from around the world.
These include stories from Africa, Japan, Eastern Europe, the Middle East, Norse and Greek Mythology, Ancient History, and even the good old USA.

Spooky Stories and Campfire Tales (Halloween!)

(Parental judgement required)

It's a dark and stormy night... The moon is full... You're at a lonesome campground... Halloween is on the horizon...AAAAH!

This is an awesome collection of thrilling stories, jump tales, and chillers. Some traditional, some original, all will keep you entertained and on the edge of your seat.

Tales from Chelm -- the village of fools

(All ages)

The villagers of Chelm are known as Wise Fools. These stories acquaint students with Jewish customs, and the challenges of change. Stories include: The Chelm Mitzvah, Why the Bride and Groom are on the Wedding Cake, and The Lethal Latkes...

Perfect for holidays like Chanukah, Passover, Purim, Rosh Hashanah (You don't need to be Jewish to enjoy visits to Chelm!)
